About “Dan’s Place” charity

Dan is an adult living with autism who is legally blind. He works at SCARC and is a very active & productive member of our community. The money raised helps support Dan’s everyday needs, such as food, clothing, utilities, as well as a support staff to help with his daily routine.

About the Motorcycle Run

I started this event back in 2019 to help my friend Dan Ware stay in his home. A home where he can live his life like any one of us. Get out of “MOM’S HOUSE”, go to the bowling ally, hold a job, hang out with his friends. Do those basic things the rest of us take for granted.

The system tends to forget about our Autistic Adult friends. Once they “Age Out” of the system, unless they are severely handicapped they just get pushed aside & forgotten about. I can’t allow that to happen to my friend Dan. So I’ve been organizing this motorcycle run every year (with the help of Dan’s Mom Kim, Ridge Powersports & Angry Erik’s Brewery) to help support Dan & keep him in his home.

Bike run sign in at Ridge Powersports 725 Rt. 15 in Jefferson starting at 9 am  – kickstands up at 11 am  Rider/Passenger = $20 Donation Includes coffee/tea & snacks at Ridge Powersports,  food, water and entertainment at Angry Erik’s Brewery 2 Camre Dr, Newton NJ.

Don’t Ride? Join us after the run @ Angry Erik’s Brewery 2 Camre Dr, Newton NJ  for the after party! ($15.00 entry) – we will have food, music, raffles, prizes and vendors!!!

Bring your Classic Car, Plenty of Parking
