We took our first ride in 2016. We went cross-country, from New Jersey to Los Angeles and back, in only 14 days. We took some time off because that long of a trip in that short of a time wasn’t sustainable. Scroll through the photos and take a look!
We are pleased to announce we’re coming back this year and we’re doing things much differently than last time! Now we take day rides to raise money for family members of Fallen officers and firefighters. The money raised in each locale stays in each locale.
This is where it all started. Our host, Harley-Davidson of Ocean County, loaned us the bike we took cross-country in ’16. They hosted our send-off and our welcome home party! Noreen Miller is a proud Board Member of this organization. So much more could be said.
Just know this: We are going after a Guinness Book of World Records record with this ride for the most money raised for a charity in a 24-hour period on a motorcycle ride.
Registration 8:00 a.m. at Harley-Davidson of Ocean County. Starting out of Wall Stadium. Heading west on 195 past Marc Castellano’s Memorial. Making a left onto 537 and going all the way down until we hit 206 where we make another left and head to Pic-A-Lilli Inn for lunch. We come back up 206 and make a right on 70, passing Robert Tobias’ Memorial in Manchester before making a Right at Wawa (stopping for gas). Going down Lacey Road and making a left onto Dover Road, passing the site of where Ocean County Prosecutor Detective John Scott Stevens’ was fatally injured in a car accident. We then make a right onto Pinewald-Keswick Road and stop at the Berkeley Township Police Department to honor Sgt. Alison Wray. We continue to our end point of VFW Post 9503. BBQ. Beer. Music. Prizes. And hopefully an announcement we got the record!
More details to follow. See you there!Host: Life of a Ridetime
